Welcome

Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club was founded in 1888. One of the original course designers was "the grand old man of golf" Tom Morris of St Andrews. In more recent times Peter Allis has described the course as a jewel in the Highlands of Scotland.

The panoramic views down the Peffery valley to the Black Isle and from the upper end of the golf course, westward to the Fannich hills highlight the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside. It is arguably the most scenic golf course in the North of Scotland, a view regularly confirmed by visitors from around the world.

Of course, when the grand shots have been played and the tricky putts holed one can reflect on them in the informal and friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse whilst enjoying traditional highland hospitality.

Strath pair are teed up for glory trail

James Gordon and Andrew Mitchell of the Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club are just one step away from possible glory at the 2010 International Pairs UK Final after winning a place in the global gold competition's regional finals.

James Gordon, who plays off a handicap of 15, and six-handicapper Andrew Mitchell scored 44 Stableford points to beat off competition from 21 other pair to win their qualifying event at Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club.

The duo will now travel to Slaley Hall in September to compete for a place in the UK Final to be held at De Vere's Wychwood Park in Cheshire later that month - and the chance to qualify for the International Pairs World Final, which is being staged at The Carrick on Loch Lomond on October 6-8.

Fundraising Success

The fundraising open on Sunday 25 July attracted 80 competitors including 23 Clubgolf coaches from all over the north of Scotland. The event raised around £1000 and was won by Strathpeffer's Jamie Grant. The Strathpeffer course came in for a great deal of praise and Clubgolf Regional Manager, Millie Mackay was heard to describe the greens as "perfect". The team from Carrbridge won the Clubgolf event. The club would like to thank the members who contributed to the prize fund and raffle.
